As Mumbai struggles to get back to normal, the Municipal Corporation announced its decision not to reopen schools in Mumbai city and under BMC jurisdiction till December 31. TBR has continued to expand its outreach and to return to its holistic program with health checks of the children.
To date, TBR has been able to serve over 15 million meals, including supplement and COVID relief to daily wage labourers, Widows, children and families in need!
TBR partnered with ‘Sahayata for Helping People’ who is working for women, senior citizens and street children in and around Goregaon and Malad. We have also been supporting the Jyotis Care Centers in Kalamboli and Taloja who care for HIV positive patients and families and the leprosy home – The Swargadwar Ashram at Taloja has also been receiving rations regularly.
On the home front, the TBR staff were tested for COVID since there is regular field interactions, and thankfully all the staff tested negative. We also had a small celebration for Diwali! In the spirit of the festival, we hope to bring light to many lives with your support!
